ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps available into the building and flat entrance to the performance area. An accessible toilet is provided inside the building and chairs will be available to sit on for those with limited mobility.

Due to the nature of the city centre, our march route does include hills and uneven streets however our march route will follow the high street down to Abbey Gardens. When walking to unit 12, we will be going up and down hills and so suggest that anyone with limited mobility uses the Stagecoach number 2 bus to the Winnall Close bus stop (this bus departs from the broadway outside Abbey Gardens at 13:45)

A quiet area will be provided at the back of the garden in an enclosed space with sensory aids available. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the venue we cannot provide an entirely quiet space but a small park is situated a 2 minute walk from the venue.

A live captioning service will be provided on a screen next to the performances at Unit 12 however we cannot ensure 100% accuracy with this.

TRANSPORT

BY CAR: Parking at unit 12 is limited and so we ask that you only use the car park for accessibility reasons as we need the space left for volunteers, stallholders, performers and those who need it. Limited parking is available on the street however we suggest parking at the nearby Durngate car park and walking, or one of the city centre car parks and travelling by number 2 bus to the Winnall Close stop.

BY BUS: The stagecoach number 2 to Winnall serves the Winnall Close stop, a 3 minute walk from unit 12. The bus can be boarded from the Broadway stand B or The Arc stand Ta if you are travelling from the station.

BY TRAIN: Winchester railway station is a 25 minute walk from Unit 12 however if you wish to travel by bus, the stagecoach number 2 can be caught from a short distance away. Those travelling to the march can get a number 5, 66 or Park and Ride bus to the city centre in order to attend the march.

DISCLAIMER:

Keeping yourself safe on the day is essential for all attending our event.

We have taken all available steps to ensure the safety of both our attendees and volunteers on the day at both our march and main event however we cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur on the day. All well behaved dogs are welcome in the event, however you are responsible for ensuring no damage is caused by them, and that any mess is cleared in the garden.

A basic first aid kit will be provided, and first aid trained volunteers will be available at all times during both the march and main event. Water will also be available as well as volunteers able to assist with mental health first aid.

Please ensure you are treating all other attendees, volunteers and members of the public with respect; no harassment or abuse to anyone under any circumstances will be condoned or tolerated by us during the day - avoiding any aggressive interactions during the march is essential to keeping yourself and fellow attendees safe.

More events are in the works...

Although we're not ready to tell you about them yet.

There's too many unknowns to be sure about anything. Feel free to check in from time to time!

Donations allow us to do what we do!

We are commited to keeping all of our events free to attend, to whatever extent we can. However donations allow us to keep running and organising things for the community. Don't donate unless you're sure you want to and can afford to.
